An industrial axis between Bergamo and Ascoli Piceno

On the occasion of the Leadership and Innovation training and institutional visit, organized by Confindustria Ascoli Piceno on April 23 and 24, 2026, Metalcoat welcomed a delegation of entrepreneurs from the Marche region to its Bergamo headquarters for a meeting and discussion.

The initiative represented an important opportunity to strengthen the dialogue between the regions and enhance the synergies between two complementary industrial systems: those of the Marche and Lombardy.

Metalcoat, with its production facility in Ascoli Piceno and sales headquarters in Bergamo, promoted this dialogue, offering its facilities and helping to foster relationships between businesses.

The entrepreneurial journey of the company and its President and CEO Matteo Trombetta Cappellani—developed between Bergamo and Ascoli Piceno—is seen as an enabling element for dialogue between the two regions, fostering connections and opportunities for shared development.

The meeting was attended by Elena Carnevali, Mayor of Bergamo; Marco Fioravanti, Mayor of Ascoli Piceno; Simone Ferraioli, President of Confindustria Ascoli Piceno; and Corrado Alfonsi, Director of Confindustria Ascoli Piceno.

During the visit, guests also discovered "Beyond Metal," the photography exhibition held in the company's facilities. This visual journey recounts the Ascoli Piceno production site through images printed on metal using Marcegaglia's Cromatica technology.

The exhibition was enriched by a work by artist Vitaliano Marchetto, lent by the Mazzoleni Gallery in Bergamo, which offered a profound reflection on the relationship between matter, identity, and human connection. The sculpture "A Bond That Resists," made of concrete and Corten iron, depicts a male and female figure in dialogue: presences that emerge from the material like ancient memories, symbols of resistance, unity, and shared strength. A silent yet intense tale, in which fragility becomes character and closeness transforms into generative energy. A narrative that, in its balance between two distinct yet complementary personalities, also seems to resonate with the career and corporate leadership of Matteo Trombetta Cappellani and Cinzia Zambetti, Chief Operation Officer of Metalcoat, offering a glimpse of the human dimension that underpins their entrepreneurial vision.

Vitaliano Marchetto is a contemporary Italian artist whose research focuses on the interaction between primary materials and the human dimension, with works that explore themes of memory, relationships, and the transformation of matter over time.

The day concluded with a convivial moment, fostering dialogue among the entrepreneurs in attendance and strengthening relationships that could evolve into new collaborations. During the event, Matteo Trombetta Cappellani, President and CEO of Metalcoat and a member of the Board of Directors of Confindustria Ascoli Piceno, shared a reflection on the strategic value of collaboration between regions: "Initiatives like this represent a concrete step toward building a structured dialogue between two complementary industrial ecosystems, those of Marche and Lombardy," he stated, "with the aim of generating new opportunities for growth, innovation, and shared development." Through this meeting, Metalcoat confirms its role as a bridge between regions and a promoter of industrial connections capable of creating value, connecting skills, visions, and production chains.
